L'OREAL Concealer Minerals

L'OREAL CONCEALER MINERALS

This is a powder-type concealer, different from the cream/stick/mousse that we're often used to.

It's actually refreshing to see a concealer that is out of the ordinary.

The product comes in a little bottle, maybe an inch and a half tall. As you can see, there is a brush that comes along with the product. The brush is stiff and smooth to allow more precise application. It is also good for reaching the crevices of the face such as the sides of the nose.

Performance wise, I would have to say that the coverage is only light to medium. So, if you're prone to hyperpigmentation, this may not be good for you.

In order for it to stay longer on the face and not crease, it would be best to put a primer or moisturizer underneath it so that it sticks. You could also try using a more potent cream or liquid concealer and then setting it with this powder concealer for a more lasting and matte effect.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This works okay with me. I don't have a lot of blemishes or fine lines to conceal just yet. I would recommend this to those who don't have too much problems with  scars/blemishes/hyperpigmentation and those who like the natural effect. With that said, I would use this product more as a cheek and nose high-lighter. It also does a good job brightening the under eye. As a concealer, I'd still go for the good old stick.

This is quite expensive and the staying power isn't spectacular as well (just because it's powder).
